As others have said, a poorer morning, and yet....I too was listening
to the slug fest on 603, with Chinese talk starting to dominate after
1325UT, not quite so punchy as Gary's recording, but pretty
clear. That sure is a nice frequency. And a couple of other
Chinese were heard also; about mid-November, we'll look back at this
fondly, maybe.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
972 HLCA woman in KK after a ballad 1315UT
1566 HLAZ woman in JJ 1327UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
594 JOAK, JJ talk by man 1316UT
747 JOIK EE lessons 1323UT
774/828 NHK2 long weather broadcast leading up to call letter IDs 1319-20UT
891 JOHK woman in JJ //594 1338UT
1053 KK jammer 1332UT
1575 VoA man in SE Asian language 1334UT, best on N. Flag
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
603 mix of HLSA and China sometimes to this level from 1324 to past
1330UT. Man talking slowly was HLSA per //558, China was best 1327
UT w/man and woman in CC and snatches of pop mx
1287 JOHR man in JJ 1323UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music) :
558 HLQH, this morning's "reaching", but the quiet, slow talking man
was here also //603 at 1311UT
567 unID woman mumbling, not //594 1322UT
576 unID man talking, could be DU EE 1307UT
612 4QR? man w/DU EE inflection 1341UT
639 CNR1 woman in CC //6030 1325UT
693 JOAB EE lessons 1252UT fighting CBU-690 splash
873 JOGB traces of EE lessons 1253UT //774
954 JOKR? man talking JJ intonation, battling with splash 1339UT
981 CNR1 woman talking seemed //6030 and slightly offset 1331UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter):
621 738 846 864 918 936 963 1134 1179 1242 1251
best wishes,
Nick
