[IRCA] TP 3 Apr; Victoria version

Sorry for the late check in, it was a rather full day, even if I did get a bit of time to DX around 1330UT. Most of the interest was DU, but there was some first tier Japanese and a couple of Koreans to liven things up.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

not quite today

reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

612 4QR likely, two men in DU EE peaking 1335UT
891 5AN woman then man talking, DU EE 1329UT. Both mentioned ABC nx, followed by ABC fanfare 1330UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker:

594 JOAK woman talking JJ 1334UT
747 JOIB EE lessons (the cheerful lady cuts through the crud), //774 1330UT
1053 KK jammer 1326UT
1566 HLAZ woman in JJ 1336UT, once my local noise took a break

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

576 2RN man talking //846 1340UT (and generally poorer, surprisingly given the relative powers) 594 3WV man talking //702 and delayed by about a second 1343UT, and for several more minutes
603 unID. man talking 1325UT
702 2BL likely DU EE inflected talk by man 1329UT, but no //. ID'd later //594. Big hum on channel likely N. Korea trying to join the party
738 Tahiti? man talking FF inflection 1325UT
792 4RN? vaguely jazzy vocals at 1340UT, not //846 (supposed to be a program about Caetano Veloso, but I wouldn't recognize him, hi). NSW and ACT are still on daylight time, so NSW and Queensland R. National programs should be separated by an hour, as Queensland doesn't do DST
828 JOBB EE lessons //747 1327UT and 1330UT
846 2RN man talking 1340UT //576
972 HLCA? man talking 1327UT
1116 unID big carrier w/woman talking 1338, too much splatter

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

621 909 1242 1422

best wishes,

Nick
