[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 3-13

Hello All,

In an otherwise modest morning, an unusually potent signal from 1575-VOA provided some real excitement, reaching its best-ever level here during six years of TP-DXing. The signal level from Thailand pounded in at its best around 1425, producing good audio on even the barefoot Tecsun PL-380 (the first time it had ever managed any kind of signal here on a barefoot portable). As Dennis also noted, there was a weak co-channel on 1575 under VOA, which had the typical upbeat disco music of the low-powered AFN station in Japan (heard here on rare occasions during previous years, in March). Other than the excitement on 1575 kHz there wasn't too much else of interest-- only fair signals in and out from 594-JOAK, 972-HLCA and 1566-HLAZ from 1410-1440. Despite the fact that sunrise enhancement was a fizzler, the die-hard signal from 1575-VOA hung in well past 1530 here, the latest that any TP audio has been heard during the month of March.
