[IRCA] TP for 13 Feb 2013; Victoria version

Not nearly so exciting this morning, mostly the big guns after 1400UT, but
definitely a bit of a lift after 1500UT, with a couple of stations hanging in
until after sunrise.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

not today

reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

747 JOIB man talking at 1516UT, then tuned up the transmitter to this level for
the anthem and mx box at 1520UT
828 JOBB also seemed to whip up the transmitter to its best signal at 1524UT, mx
box chimes
1566 HLAZ man in CC 1509UT; still there at a lower level at 1535UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker:

567 JOIK man talking //594 1511UT
594 JOAK man in JJ 1510UT
774 JOUB man in JJ 1516UT //747. Hung in for the s/off chimes, but didn't apply
the whip hand to the transmitter finals like 747 and 828 did.
1287 JOHR man in JJ 1522UT, hung in through 1530UT and beyond at lower level
1575 woman talking at 1509UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

945 unID. traces of a woman talking at 1425UT, could have been //6125 (also
woman talking), but too weak to say.
1143 man talking CC inflection 1512UT. Taiwan?
1188 woman talking 1515UT, too much splash for any hint as to language
1359 unID man talking 1510UT, but too faint to establish a 6125 parallel
1422 man talking 1514UT, big carrier

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

954 1242 1305 1332 1539

best wishes,

Nick
