[IRCA] Discussion Of Daily Solar Space And Geomagnetic Weather

DISCUSSION OF DAILY SOLAR SPACE AND GEOMAGNETIC WEATHER-

For Saturday February 09, 2013
Solar activity is moderate as far as the emergence of the number of new sunspot groups. Currently there are 3 new un-numbered sunspot groups and 4 existing numbered sunspot groups.
Solar activity is moderate as far as the number of new solar flares, 3 occurred. The largest solar flare in magnitude was a small in size C2.4, not associated with any particular sunspot group, but rather with a filament eruption that occurred at approximately N23W07.
The daily solar flux index (SFI) has been above 100 for 10 consecutive days, currently at 107.6.
The daily sunspot number (SSN) has languished below 100 for 25 consecutive days, currently (NOAA) at 58.
The geomagnetic field has been quiet for 2 consecutive days with the Kp (planetary) index in the 0-2 range. As collected by Potsdam Germany WDC are the 3 hour Kp (planetary) intervals 22110011. 

The Dst ranged between +6 and -14.
