The first snow of the season bought good TP reception to Kalama, WA. One new station logged this morning, Taiwan on 1098 // 1557 playing music. Seldom heard JOQG on 531 was also heard this morning over riding the HARS stations on 530 kHz. Listen from 1351-1545 utc. A last to date receptions 12/14/2011 listed on bottom of page. Not a bad morning last year on this date. Have a Great weekend.

209    ALASKA, Yakataga, CYT 1458 weak steady signal with weather forecast. Juneau forecast. NW ewe. 12/14/2012 


279    RUSSIA, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Radio Rossii 1353 very weak  signal with  woman in Russian. NW  ewe. 12/14/2012


531  JAPAN, Morioka, JOQG NHK1 1502 assuming JOQG (most power and most Northerly) steady weak signal with man in Japanese. // 594 JOAK. NW ewe. 12/14/2012


567    JAPAN, Sapporo, JOIK NHK1 1419 weak signal with man in Japanese. Heavy splatter from KVI. NW ewe. 12/14/2012.


594    JAPAN, Tokyo, JOAK NHK1 1342 very weak signal with man/woman in Japanese. 1421 Weak signal. NW ewe. 12/14/2012


603    REPUBLIC OF KOREA, Seoul, HLSA 1540 assuming the station with very weak signal and woman in Asian language. NW ewe. 12/12/2012


648    RUSSIA, Ussuriysk RFA 1512  good signal with Korean service with slight splatter. NW ewe. 12/14/2012


693    JAPAN, Tokyo, JOAB NHK2 1348 very weak signal with man in Japanese. Moderate splatter. 1518 Good signal. NW ewe. 12/14/2012


747    JAPAN, Tokyo, JOIB NHK2 1349 very weak signal with woman in Japanese. Heavy splatter from KXTG. NW ewe. 12/14/2012

972    REPUBLIC OF KOREA, Dangjin, HLCA KBS Hanminjok Bangsong  1521 very weak signal at best with man in Korean. KUFO 970 splatter.  NW ewe. 12/14/2012


1044   CHINA, Changzhou, CRI 1444-1450 assuming the station with poor signal at times. Woman in Japanese? NW ewe. 12/14/2012


1098   TAIWAN Kouhu, BED97  CBS-RTI-VoTaiwan, Family Radio, 1524-1529 weak signal with fair signal at times. Instrumental music and // 1557.  New station here. NW ewe. 12/14/2012

1116    CHINA, Shaowu, CNR5 1531-1536 guessing to be the station with man in stern Chinese. Fair signal. Moderate splatter. Music at 1535. NW ewe. 12/14/2012 

1287   JAPAN, Sapporo, JOHR HBC 1451 very weak signal with moderate splatter. Two men in Japanese. W-SW ewe. 12/14/2012


1323   CHINA, Huadian, 1406-1408 VOR transmission in Russian with weak signal. Slight splatter. NW ewe. 12/14/2012


1557  TAIWAN, Kouhu, CBS-RTI-Vo Taiwan, Family Radio 1454 weak signal with music. Not much splatter this morning.  NW ewe 12/14/2012


1566  REPUBLIC OF KOREA, Cheju, HLAZ FEBC 1409 fair signal with woman in Chinese. NW ewe. 12/14/2012


1575   THAILAND, Rasom, VOA 1411 weak  signal with man in Khmer (PALs) NW ewe. 12/14/2012


1593   CHINA, Changzhou CNR1 1457 weak signal with man in Chinese. KOHI splatter. NW ewe. 12/14/2012

774     JAPAN, JOUB NHK 2 1516  fair signal with Japanese and a little splatter.
828     JAPAN, JOBB NHK 2  1518 weak signal with Japanese.
1377   CHINA, CRN 1 1540 weak to fair signal at times with domestic splatter.
1386   JAPAN, JO?? NHK 2 1539 weak signal with Japanese.
1422   JAPAN, JORF 1515 weak signal with man in Japanese.  + good signal at times 1537.
1557   TAIWAN, WYFR  1534 believed to be the station with weak signal and music?  Only heard once at former Salmon Creek location.  
1566   REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLAZ 1446 fair signal with woman in Chinese. + Good signal at 1513.
1575   THAILAND, VOA 1511 fair signal with man in Asian language.  + Good signal at 1530.  Some English, but mostly Asian language report.
1575   UNKNOWN 1543 weak under VOA with singer accompanied by piano.  Wonder what station? 
1584   UNKNOWN 1548 two carriers with levels around 5, but not audio.
1593   CHINA CRN 1 1531 weak signal with Chinese bumper music and a lot of splatter from KOHI  S-9 +65 db signal.
