Hello Walt,

Right now Cannon Beach is being hit with very stiff wind and rain, which made the "Cliffhanger DX" this early morning one of the wildest sessions that I've ever attempted. If this isn't a classic situation calling for the roof-mounted Broadband FSL, I don't know what is!

Despite the wild weather the 8" FSL antenna has also been running fairly wild with TP-DX on the Rockwork cliff, and most of the 9 kHz splits on the lower part of the band have produced strong Asian signals. The low-power Japanese in particular seem to be showing up on unusual frequencies, making it tough to go after anything more exotic.

You got that right, Gary!  As we get older, it's SO much nicer sitting in
the vehicle happily dialing away with the roof mounted FSL!  Time does fly
when you're having fun.  I recall virtually DXing around the clock in
Masset in the dead of winter.  Heck, who has time to eat when the DX keeps
