Re: [IRCA] Oct 31 / Nov 1 TAs (mostly)

Halloween night definately had some superb cx. I've been DXing sunset skip, mostly to the west from here in IL for 18 years, and I honest feel that Halloween had the best western SSS cx I've ever experienced from here. Jan 4, 2002 was legendary as was Feb 1, 2012 (Feb 2,3 also not so bad) but Halloween just seemed to be even better, with my best catch being KCLK 1430 from eastern WA at 0100 utc.

I should have time to get a better report posted this weekend as I still am going over Perseus recordings.

Based on your successes with a 35 deg Bev, I deeply regret not putting out a Bev or two in the 30-35 deg range when I DXed from Ogunquit ME from late 1983 to mid 1985. Cx were often quite AU at the time, and my TA Bevs were about 400m aimed 55-60 deg. I could have gone with 500-600m aimed about 35 deg before running into peoples' backyards.
