A long overdue FSL Antenna Operating Guide is currently being drafted, and is halfway complete. It should be wrapped up by the end of the month--- as long as no major distractions come up.
Quite a few DXers have puzzled over the quirks of FSL antenna DXing, so you are not alone. The razor-sharp tuning system is unlike that of any other antenna, and it takes a while to get used to. After using the FSL's for four major ocean coast DXpeditions and two Fall seasons, though, I've probably seen every quirk that the antennas can throw my way... and still wouldn't trade them for any other antenna.
