[IRCA] Oklahoma TP DX 10/23/12

Another lousy morning here for listening for TP signals. Only one carrier from
Asia on 558 kHz was detected. Carriers from DU on 702, 738 and 891 were also
heard. Receivers: PL-310 and PL-380 with 7" FSL antenna.

I've noticed the carriers on 702 (2BL) and 891 (5AN?) tend to be heard past
sunrise longer. Meanwhile, 738 kHz fades away before sunrise.

Surprisingly this autumn has been the absence of the high-powered NHK signals of
the past four seasons. Only a few seconds of audio from 747-JOIB and 774-JOUB
several weeks ago. The best signal heard thus far has been the South Korean
jamming station on 1053.

Good DX.

Richard Allen,
near Perry OK USA.
