Definite sunrise enhancement this morning with a mix of Australia and New
Zealand, most not particularly strong, but some odd ones there including another
apparent showing of R Waatea on 603. As Walt observed NZ on 756 was quite
readable, the strongest I've heard them in several solar cycles I think!
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):
612 4QR man talking DU EE 1408UT
756 RNZ National, man talking DU EE 1410UT, "two grown men who should have known
better" is a phrase that stood out, presumably not referring to their two
listeners this morning in Victoria, BC, hi.
reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
just the above, passing through
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker:
819 RNZ National, man in DU EE //756 at 1414UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :
603 presumed R. Waatea, with non-EE sounding man and woman at 1406UT (again,
first thought was Tagalog)
621 man talking 1413UT
702 2BL man talking //774 at 1418UT
738 2NR man and woman talking //774 at 1426UT
747 vocal mx 1424UT
774 presumed 3LO, man and woman talking at 1356; didn't catch this one if and
when it faded up to a better signal, as I was busy chasing small signals
864 woman talking 1412UT, maybe ZB?
891 frantic DU sounding talk 1419UT. Horse racing? 4TAB?
936 vocal mx 1423UT, will need to check recording as at the time it seemed
//747, but everything was pretty faint.
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
531 558 567 594 846 855 909 1098 1242
best wishes,
Nick
