[IRCA] TP's & DU's for Sunday, October 14, 2012





No Russian long waves again this morning.  The only DU heard was Tahiti with a good signal at times. Powerhouse Japanese stations on lower channels and the only TP on the upper channels was HLAZ.  Conditions dropped before Sunrise. K index increased from 3 to 4 during listening period from 1258-1425 utc.


594     JAPAN, JOAK NHK1 1315-1321 from noise level to fair signal in 1 minute. Group of people in Japanese. W-SW ewe. 10/14/2012

675     UNKNOWN, 1411 poor to very weak signal. Man speaking in ? Moderate splatter. W-SW ewe. 10/14/2012

693     JAPAN, JOAB NHK2 1401 fair signal with Radio English Conversation program. "Sorry to keep you waiting" // JOUB 774. W-SW ewe. 10/24/2012

702     UNKNOWN, 1405-1408 very weak signal with talk in ? W-SW ewe. 10/14/2012

738     TAHITI, Radio Polynesie 1339 one of it's best signal of the season. Two men in French talking. Over riding the usual heavy KCBS splatter. Heard on all 4 antennas, best on W-SW ewe. 10/14/2012 

774     JAPAN, JOUB NHK2 1258-1302 poor to very weak signal. One pip heard at TOH followed by bits of Japanese audio. 1303 weak signal with Japanese.  Good signal at 1323 with woman in English. W-SW ewe. 10/14/2012

828     JAPAN, JOBB NHK2 1347 poor to very weak signal. // JOUB 774. W-SW ewe. 10/14/2012

1566    REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLAZ FEBC 1253-1254 fair signal. Man giving speech in Japanese. W-SW ewe. 10/14/2014
