Strange receptions this morning. A few no shows were JOAB 693, JOIB 747, but tier two stations JOCR & JOIK were received. China on 1206 was in with a fair signal, no Chine CNR1 on 1593. VOA 1575 struggle in late with fair signal. Rare Russian long wave on 171 was heard with a poor signal, but nothing but threshold audio for 234. Best signal this morning was HLAZ 1566 with a Grayland type signal at 1316. Have a nice weekend.

180    RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1245 fair signal with woman in Russian. 1322 off air no carrier. HPAW. 09/29/2012

189    RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1246 good signal with woman in Russian. HPAW. 09/29/2012

234    RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1224 threshold audio. HPAW 09/29/2012

279    RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1247 good signal with man in Russian. HPAW 09/29/2012

558    JAPAN, JOCR 1337 very weak at times with bits of audio along with moderate domestic splatter. NW ewe. 09/29/2012

567    JAPAN, JOIK NHK1 1250 very weak audio with bits of Japanese. NW ewe. 09/29/2012

576    RUSSIA, Rst Mayak 1339 fair signal with woman/man in Russian. NW ewe. 09/29/2012 

594    JAPAN, JOAK NHK1 1345 late arrival this morning. Weak signal with party atmosphere. Woman laughing loud. NW ewe. 09/29/2012

603    REPUBLIC OF KOREA, 1347 poor signal with bits of audio getting through. Quietest channel of the splits. NW ewe. 09/29/2012

657    DPR OF KOREA, 1349-1351 poor signal with woman singing. Shortwave // 3250 seems to be suffering with low audio. 3320 normal audio, 6250 cover by utility station, 6400 fair NW ewe 09/29/2012 

747    JAPAN, JOIB NHK2 1253 very weak audio with bits of Japanese. NW ewe. 09/29/2012

774    JAPAN, JOUB NHK2 1255 weak to fair signal with man in Japanese. NW ewe. 1326 good signal on W-SW ewe. 09/29/2012

828    JAPAN, JOBB NHK2 1344 weak signal with man in Japanese. NW ewe. 09/29/2012

972    REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLSA 1307 weak signal with man in Korean. Moderate splatter. NW ewe. 09/29/2012

1053   REPUBLIC OF KOREA, 1308 jammer atop channel with fair signal. Best on W-SW ewe. 09/29/2012

1206   CHINA, Korean Service 1312 fair signal with man in Korean. No splatter. Good signal at 1334 with interview. Great with KEX IBOC turned off. NW ewe. 09/29/2012

1287   JAPAN, JOHR HBC 1315 fair signal with some splatter. Man in Japanese. NW ewe. 09/29/2012

1566   REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLAZ 1316 Grayland signal with woman/man in Japanese. Listened with 6 hz filter. NW ewe 09/29/2012

1575   THAILAND, VOA 1401 another late arrival with woman in Asian language. fair signal. NW ewe 09/29/2012.
