Hi Nick,

After listening to a dreary MW band this morning, I think that all the TP-DXers will be in total agreement that "it wasn't as lively here as the day previous."

I certainly don't feel left out then. This morning was mostly in the category of "extreme minimalist DXing", audio being so poor that often I wasn't even able to guess the language. There were a couple of moments when 4QR-612 was almost completely readable, to provide some contrast.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

in my dreams (perhaps I should have stayed in bed...)

reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

612 4QR man and woman talking, mentions of New South Wales etc. 1335UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker:

4QR (above) just passing through

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

567 woman talking 1333UT, too weak to guess at language
576 instrumental mx //846 1341, so 2RN
594 JOAK man talking and NHK pips at 1300UT
702 2BL woman and man talking //612 1334UT, 702 preceding 612 by a fraction of a second 738 man talking 1337 no idea of language, but suspect Tahiti, as seemed not parallel with the minimal ABC signals at this time
756 DU EE inflected talk by man 1346UT
774 3LO man talking //612 (also very weak) at 1350UT
846 2RN //576 w/slow instrumental mx, barely there 1341UT
1566 man w/JJ inflected talk 1301UT

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

891 maybe traces of woman talking 1338UT

best wishes,

Nick
