Thanks very much for listening to the MP3 clips, and giving your 
suggestions.

Chuck also sent me a brief message about 936-New Supremo, which seems 
the most likely suspect for the Japanese-like music since none of the 
other co-channels seem possible. Ordinarily a 1 kW NZ station might 
seem unlikely, but the cliff DU propagation was anything but ordinary. 
There are some Australian DXers on the Ultralight list who said that 
they will listen on 531 for the brief slogan in between the rock songs. 
639 kHz still seems like a puzzle, since I myself heard 2HC's call-in 
talk program a couple of years ago (in Lincoln City), and figured that 
such classic rock wouldn't fit their format at all. The 666 maze was 
showing up every morning on the cliff, with a Graveyard-like mix of the 
ABC-voiced lady and at least two other stations at all times. Thanks 
also for your suggestion on 1503-- because of the English announcer and 
Kiwi-slanted propagation NZ's Radio Sport does sem like the most likely 
suspect, but it will still be recorded as an UnID-DU.

A few comments:
-According to their websites, 2PM-531 and 2HC-639 both carry nighttime
talk shows originating from 2SM Sydney.
-I couldn't make anything of your 666 clips
-On 936 4PB is all news, and 7ZR has a talk show at that time. Supremo
may be your best bet for that type of music, since it's all Chinese
programming.  They have a schedule posted on their website
http://www.chinesevoice.co.nz/eng_936.html  but unfortunately it's in
Chinese.  Maybe your wife or a friend can decipher what it says.
-To my ears, the announcer on 1503 has a NZ accent, but I could easily
be wrong.  Maybe a native Aussie or Kiwi could comment?
