Re: [IRCA] 1660 kHz unknown TIS/ HARS station

TIS/HAR stationon 1660 is still being received at 1500 utc along with the Spanish station.
Both in at equal signal strengths.  Signal is about S-9.  Listening off and on between
chores and no ID has been heard.   Amazed with the X band stations, Mexican station on
1700 can still heard with poor signal at 1505 utc.

Best regards,

Dennis,

While TP & DU DXing this morning I happen across a NOAA broadcast on 1660.  The station was broadcasting
Eugene/Springfield Oregon NOAA broadcast.  1250 utc the signal was S-9 +40 db and over Spanish station
KTIQ Merced, CA.  Signal down to S-9 at 1307 and even with KTIQ.  There is a NOAA hazardous weather
conditions alert for excessive heat watch for Oregon and SW Washington today.  Have not heard a TIS/HARS
ID yet.  Best on the Sky wire loop. (which favors Southern signals) Signal wiped out at 1318 when KTIQ
switched to from 1,000 watts to 10,000 watts daytime power.  TIS/HARS station back on top at 1321.
TIS/HARS stations in SW Washington use Portland, OR NOAA broadcasts when not broadcasting traffic
information.  Thinking this station is somewhere in Oregon.  Will continue to listen.

Best regards,

Dennis,
