Hello To All,

After much anticipation heading into spring and waiting for the weather to clear up , experimentation has finally begun with plans to eventually put up a more permanent 300 foot longwire configuration for my Kenwood R-5000 

Last evening I strung out the antenna temporarily to see which directions would offer the best reception.

Here are the results from last evening's DX session with the antenna directed towards 150 - 160 Degrees. Reception was strongest from the Spanish and African stations

 855 - SPAIN - R. Nacional, Murcia  1:22 UTC  Spanish talk by two men (Good)
 864 - Unidentified 1:27 UTC  Spanish talk (likely R. Nacional Socullemos)
 882 - CANARY ISLANDS - COPE Tenerife  00:55 UTC Spanish talk, mention Canaries
 945 - FRANCE - France Info, Tolouse-Muret  1:02 UTC  woman with news in French
 954 - SPAIN - Onda Cero Radio , Ctra Humera  1:04 UTC  Spanish commentary, promos, ID
