Paul,
Conditions this morning were slightly auroral. Neat catches have been made on auroral conditions. 
My personal most exciting catch on auroral conditions in recent memory was 770 Ft. Meyers. In Iowa, I had phenomenal fun with what I call the auroral early 80's!
I'd love to hear other's stories on auroral dxing.
