Re: [IRCA] Unidentified on 1125

No sign of Niger or just about any other west African signal while in Newfoundland last week. Belgium is very evident, however. The only stations heard from that area are Nigeria 917 and the clandestine on 1550. Jim Renfrew, Holley NY

1125-Unidentified 21:56 UTC Nov 7 French talk , African sounding music (might be Le Voix de Sahel, Niger ?)

Allen, I had a look at the RTBF website and at 21:07 UT, they're airing a romantic French song program so indeed, what you heard could fit with Niger.

Sylvain,

Thanks for the info on the possible reception of Sahel, Niger. When I heard the African sounding music along with the French talk it had me thinking that it probably was not Belgium. I have heard Belgium before and it had sounded quite different than this as you had mentioned.
