Hi, Saul--
According to the NRC AM Log they are U3, which means that they are
full-time directional, using the same pattern day and night. That pattern has a
null toward me and is directed toward you, whether it's one watt or 1000. If
they are using their day power at night with this full-time pattern, it
would certainly explain why you are hearing it at night and at least partly
explain why I am not.

Bill and others with signal expertise, Bill - you must mean the day
pattern?Avenue 1550 is supposed to operate at something like one watt at night.
You aren't getting it in nerby Madison - likely because of its directional
pattern. But it's dominant here, pretty evenly with the Que Buena station in
Delaware OH (which also must be seriously out of whack). Could it possibly
be shooting its entire one watt my way (or in two directions) and coming
out so far away with such intesity that it gave CBE fits here when CBE was
on?I'm thinking of approaching both stations, and striking up a friendly
conversation with an engineer, but want some expert opinions on this before I
do.Same applies to Que Buena.Saul > From: DXERak@xxxxxxx
