Yes, top loading cassette I believe. I imagine the better models are digital. I've logged a few talking houses nearby a few years back but haven't heard many lately. One can usually find the transmitters on eBay cheap. I don't recall the IRCA ever having a station of any kind at one of their conventions---someone correct me if I'm wrong. I know the folks at the National Radio Club have WNRC worked down to a science. I made an aircheck of WNRC 1390 at the New Hampshire NRC convention back in 1994. I'll bet I still have that somewhere. Speaking of which, if anybody has airchecks of local stations or bumper stickers or auction swag that they would like to donate to this years convention, they can be mailed to IRCA Convention c/o Bob Wien #106 2910 North Powers Blvd., Colorado Springs CO 80922-2801. I'm in So Cal so easier to send it right to the convention city. 'Hoping for great weather there in town but bring warm and dry clothes just in case. ms
