My beverage (1500' going East) is up permanantly. I have had it since
1982. Lightening has never hit it here in the NW OR, but lightening
strikes are rare. But when there is t storm activity, I either ground it
of disconnect it anyway. It is fed by RG6 through a matching
transformer.
