Re: [IRCA] Call letter meanings - 75 years ago / and KXXA-1520 WA

Hey, just who do they think they are, dethroning my local (7.3 miles away, can overload my radios when I use a big enough antenna) 760 KFMB from being the only station in the USA that runs 50kW at night and less (in their case 5kW) in the daytime? ;)

a propos of this, from Northwest Broadcasters reports
KXXA call letters have been issued for the new station licensed to
nohomish on 1520 kHz and expected to sign on this summer.  The new
all is a salute to the old KXA AM 770 Seattle.  It is licensed to
perate with a directional antenna with different constants day and
ight (DA2) with 20 kW day and 50 kW night and critical hours.
