Re: "The Kenwood R-5000 I read has internal temperature of 114 degrees," I
recall reading about thermal concerns in a couple of reviews when the radio
first came out. But unless there's been a high failure rate over the years,
perhaps those concerns weren't justified.

Rainer Lichte's "More Radio Receiver - Chance or Choice" has a nine-page
review of the R-5000.
