Forcasters almost uniformly called for 25-30 cm snow here. The Weather
Network now reports "Widespread total snowfall amounts of 15 to 20
centimetres are likely by the time the storm ends by this evening."
We'll only know for sure after this is over. But if the forecasts overstated
the amount of snow for at least much of southern Ontario, I think the effect
on driving and such has probably (judging from looking outside and listening
to the news) been the same as it would be with the additional 10 cm...
I'm only sorry I had to leave Burnt River site last night. With reports of
WBBM being on what would seem like reduced power, that would / might have
been fun...
Hope everyone is safe - it seems we've gotten off easy here in Ontario; I
know folks elsewhere have had a rough time.

Well........Nothing of note was heard overnight in spite of the Big
Storm!! I was hoping to hear some Daytimers on with Emergency
Broadcasts...but none to be found. The first wave of the storm moved
through here overnight and dumped a lot of snow.......but I'm not sure
where most of it went!!!????? The Driving Wind has blown much of it
away!! My Neighbour at the end of the Street must have a hell of big
pile of Snow piled up in his yard!! There is still a large Blob of the
Storm hovering over Chicago and Michigan...I'm not sure if that's
heading this way or what.....but if it does, we'll get another blast of
this today........
