Re: [IRCA] Strong SS station on 800 help?

Thanks all that responded. I am assuming Radio Canon
as well, although in the many minutes of voice, some
at near local signal strengths, they never actually
say it, darn 'em. There is a Radio Canon on 1100
with a Web stream, and they say "Radio Canon" a fair
bit, but not on 800 :-(. There are mentions of
Chihuaha (Cd. Jaurez's state) once in a while, so I
am assuming it is them. I guess I'll have to wait
'em out!

Patrick - they fade up out of nowhere over KPDQ and
Penticton and own the frequency for a while, and then
quickly disappear.

I bet it's never been said that DXers aren't
patient... :-)

 Kevin,
Try to listen for "Radio Canon" ID's (pronounced
'Can-yohn'). XEROK from Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua,
Mexico, is a 150 kW station on that frequency. They
use the "Radio Canon" ID's.

They used to cover pretty much all of the USA before
the FCC relaxed the rules on the clear-channel
frequencies.
