Yeah, I still miss the box loop & still regret dismantling it and selling the pieces to George Bryson.  Somehow DX w/an SM-1 just wasn't as interesting.  Besides, Brh (Bruce Heimburger) had an SM-2.  He always got the more expensive stuff.  My rx then was an old Laffayette HE-80 bought from a ham friend, Chris Ramsay who, I believe, is still doing "The Ramsay Oldies Show" on one of the internet stations.  Once in a while, though, Brh would let me borrow his TRF.  As I recall, WHEB, though, was heard on the HE-80.
