[IRCA] TP for 24 Nov from Victoria, BC.

As Nigel noted....a little better this morning, a sure indicator that I didn't have enough time to listen as I prepared for work....still, it only a bit better compared with some bad conditions lately, and things were pretty erratic. Listened at 1420UT, and then again at 1520UT, when there seemed to be a bit of a lift, mostly in the upper band.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

774 JOUB
1566 HLAZ at 1526 CC talk

reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

828 JOBB
972 HLCA at 1522

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker

594 JOAK
747 JOIB, s/off chimes at 1525UT
1476 likely China, Life R. fading up at 1527UT
1557 likely Family R. Taiwan, w/deep voice male; 1526UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

639 seemed //6030, so CNR-1
945 likely CNR-1 at 1523UT, but SW //'s buried u/electrical noise (which didn't seem to affect any but the higher MW frequencies; seems to come on around local sunrise unfortunately)
963 brief talk at 1523UT...might have been RR?
1044 CRI?? at 1424, no // available
1377 also seemed //6030, so CNR-1
1593 on the other hand seemed //774, so NHK2

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

1035, 1134, 1323, 1503, 1575

best wishes,

Nick
