[IRCA] Reply to Bill in BC and the Group

RE: For Allen Willie; Hi, it's amazing that you scooped a signal all the way
from Los Angeles on 1070.Was it a steady or slow fade in and out or did you
notice anybody else mixing in? I'm wondering if CBA in Moncton NB is still
active or did they shut that one down and was replaced by an FM? And nothing
from Indy? You're probably closer to France than California. If you used an ultra
light receiver for this scan, how much more could you get with a good sensitive
portable? I wish I was there now since west coast Dxing has kind of run its
course for me. Bill in BC

Hi Bill and the Group

I've heard KNX in here quite a number of times over the past while, usually when
it's in it has a suprisingly decent signal even on the ultralight machine, and
stays in a good bit before fading away. I've never logged the Indy station yet,
the CBA in Moncton is gone and usually the only other station heard here most
nights is CHOK in Sarnia Ontario and it seems to struggle as it's signal is weak
and at times sounds muffled. In the past the Euskadi Irratia station from Spain
on 1071 used to take over and cover up anything on 1070. It recently moved to
1386

Allen in St. John's
