Hi Bruce,

I guess one of the reasons why this hobby is so fascinating is because
propagation can be so selective, favoring one area at the expense of others.
Last year John was puzzled how I could receive the low band Chinese at such
strength, and I was puzzled how he could receive the Japanese and Koreans on
the high band (that I had no trace of). The same selective propagation
seems to be continuing when your results (and Tom's) are compared with the
Puyallup Valley situation.

The following stations were noted 1325-1410

Good audio, at least for brief periods
JOAK-594 Good on brief peaks, but mostly fair-weak
JOAB-693 Briefly
JOIB-747 Good at times, and for longer periods than 594
JOUB-774 Loud at times
S Korea-972 Sometimes good, mostly fair-poor

Fair audio, some of it understandable by native speakers, at least briefly
JOIB-567 Good signal, but difficult copy due to KVI splash
N Korea-657
JOGK-756 at about 1347
JOBB-828
Yanbian-1206
HLAZ-1566 Poorer than normal

Weak audio
China-756 Replaced JOGK at 1407 recheck
Unid-1035 Probably China w/weak talk
S Korea-1053
Unid-1287 Bits of talk, probably Japan
VOA-1575 mostly just a carrier
