[IRCA] Cable connectors
Recently I bought some items that may be useful for antennas. The first is
an adapter that combines four BNC cables to a single CAT5 type cable. It's
meant for video use which runs from essentially DC to 4MHz. To test it I
checked the S-Meter for both 550 and 1480. Then I removed the RG-58 cable
and swapped in the CAT5 with one of the adapters on each end. Both S-Meter
readings were the same.

They also sell video ground loop isolators. That puts a transformer on the
end of the RG-58 BNC connector. I did the same test as above and got the
same results. No drop is signal strength.

I do like the ability to run four separate signals down one cable.
Especially since CAT5 cable is cheap and easy to make the RJ45 end
connections.
FWIW...
