[IRCA] License of CHEV-1610 Toronto ON Renewed by CRTC

This is the 99 watt silent station that on paper just will not go  
away. The License of
CHEV-1610 Toronto has been renewed to the end of July of this year.  
Of course 1610 has been used
in Toronto by CHHA for some time, and CHEV not even appear in the  
current Industry Canada database.
At least the CRTC is aware that CHEV has to find a new frequency.....

Administrative renewal

1.

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the low-power AM  
radio programming
undertaking CHEV Toronto from 1 April 2010 to 31 July 2010. The  
licence will be subject
to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licence.
2.
If the licensee has not filed an application for a new frequency by  
17 May 2010,
the Commission may not renew the licence further.
