[IRCA] TP for 29 Mar from Victoria, BC

This seemed to be a morning that the longer one spent on it, the more one would
hear. Signals were fading in erratically for short periods, and there wasn't
that much that was either consistent or strong. Listening was for a few minutes
around 1300UT, and then 1330 to 1340UT

My mystery on 1476 was in again this morning, and as always, quite weak and
messy. However, at 1300UT, there were pips, 3 low and one high pitch, equal
lengths, and except for the fact that there weren't 5 low ones, I would have
said they were Chinese (I don't think that there were two other pips buried in
noise). So, the mystery continues; finding audio streams for Chinese local
stations is an adventure anyway, so some research will be both entertaining and
possibly rewarding.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

774 JOUB at 1330UT
1566 HLAZ, various times during JJ program

reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK
828 JOBB

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker

567 JOIK //594
747 JOIB
873 JOGB //774
1053 Korean jammer and huge carrier at 1338UT; earlier, it was just the carrier
1134 JOQR JJ sounding talk
1143 mx at 1336; ?
1242 likely JOLF at 1333 w/JJ talk

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

666 JOBK //594
801 man talking at 1335UT; no idea
945 CNR-1 //4460 at 1333UT
963 woman talking at 1334UT
972 HLCA
1044 mx, not //7325 (which was quite weak anyway); if not CRI, then who?
1287 likely JOHR
1323 couldn't find anything on 963 at the time, but CRI is most likely here
1422 JJ inflected talk at 1339UT, likely JORF
1476 mystery pips on hour as described above
1575 likely VoA

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

936, 1251, 1269

best wishes,

Nick
