I'm thinking more about this, and I think it probably has something to do not only with WASB 1590 a mile away, but also with the 450 kHz IF in Jim's radio. 1590 - (2 x 450) = 690.

I would bet that if we tried a radio that didn't use a 450 kHz IF (like an SDR, for instance) at Jim's place, that the image wouldn't be there.

Which reminds me that I'm way overdue for a visit to Jim's place... :)
