[IRCA] Puyallup, WA TP's for 11-11...Not Bad

Hello All,

The morning's TP propagation seemed spotty, but there were plenty of
interesting signals to go around.

Around 1440 there was a huge carrier on 729 kHz, a frequency on which I'd
never been able to log TP's because of domestic splatter. Investigation
revealed a strong Mandarin Chinese station on top of at least one co-channel
(apparently NHK1 JOCK, but too weak to check the 594 kHz //). 729 khz had
never been heard so strong in 3 years of TP-DXing here in Puyallup.

The 585 kHz frequency was carefully checked for the Mandarin Chinese
(possibly VOR) station, but this morning only the NHK1 station JOPG was on the
frequency, all alone from 1450 until the band dived around 1510.

972-HLCA had a weak Chinese co-channel with male-voiced news after 1500,
but this station had been heard (and recorded) before, with better signals
than this morning.

Finally, at 1457 the UnID Mandarin Chinese (music-oriented) station was
back on 828 khz doing a JOBB on the Osaka NHK2 outlet, but again this has
been a common occurrence recently:

A high-band search for 1503-JOUK at 1447 found a carrier near audio, but
the high band in general seemed anemic this morning, so it will need to wait
for another day. In general it was quite an interesting morning, primarily
because of the 729 kHz mix. Hopefully others also found some nice signals
this morning.
