[IRCA] Puyallup, WA TP's for 11-4.. Better at Asian Sunset

Hello All,

As the November TP propagation changes to favor the 0800-0930 UTC Asian
sunset period, there was a great difference in TP signal strengths observed
here this morning when comparing that very productive period with the almost
negligible sunrise enhancement.

Around 0910 UTC there was strong audio on 594, 747, 828 and 972 kHz, with
strong carriers on 756, 765, 792, 891, 1017, 1026, 1035, 1053, 1125 (some
of which had weak audio), and many others. The awkward hour (local 0110)
made it tough to wait around and dig out audio on some of the promising
frequencies, but the general TP strength was far stronger than during the very
weak sunrise enhancement around 1450 this morning.

During this morning's sunrise session, the general slide in propagation
continued as only the NHK powerhouses had much audio, and even they were
marginal at times. With the poor signal levels, no interesting co-channels
showed up, and after hearing the lively TP signals during the Asian sunset 5
hours earlier, it certainly seemed to me that the band had suddenly fallen
into a deep freeze. This happens every November, of course, but it seems that
this month it's happening a little early :-)
