I recently read a review of MTM Scientific's MW loop kit.  Doesn't look
too bad, it looks like a mini air core loop.

BUT If you have not checked out their website, you should do so.  VERY
unique stuff, including one web page of free plans and the like for the
experimenter, including plans for a 3 transistor SW receiver.
