Re: [IRCA] frustrating TA 18 Oct 09
Yes, it's lot of work tonight to get much in the way of results. A few
highlights:
- heard "This is Moscow" on 1548 as VoR signed on at 0300
- Sweden is not bad currently on 1179
- what sounds likeSpain is struggling to be heard on 1008 in the CBR
splatter.
- Egypt has audio on 819, but not as good as yesterday
One of those nights that would have been more appreciated in the leaner
years!

Audio is there, but it's very sporadic and doesn't last long....
0115 and 0131UT presumed Farda. but back into the murk before the webstream could be accessed
0130UT brief, fair strength audio on 1269 and 1377
0157UT instrumental mx, fair and soon gone on 756
0158UT 1134 briefly w/fair audio
0159UT....1503 has been showing a good carrier, and it might have had some high pitched flute mx at this time, but soon faded
0200UT 963 woman talking across hour, no sign of any IS or other means of identification
(and of course, 1215 with audio from time to time; might also have had 819 with male Arabic vocals, but gone by the time I punched up the SW // on another receiver)
Now, at 0220, things seem a bit dismal even in comparison to the above
