[IRCA] TP for 23Sep09 from Victoria: Slow start, then took off
Listened between 13:03 and 14:08. Things were very mediocre initially, but really took off at dawn with a very nice, but perhaps brief Asian enhancement up and down the dial. The 2nd tier NHK1 outlets at the bottom of the band were all there with a radio play of sorts. The Russian on 576 continues to boom in, almost "pegging the needle". That one definitely has my attention this year. 963 continues to go back and forth between CRI RR and CC, but finally CRI was very strong at 13:47. Best I've heard them this year. A very modest DU post dawn appearance as well. I'll complete my report later today. Overall, I'd call it an average morning, thanks to things after 13:30. Before that...a bit of a dud.
