I get a large spike just above 765 (freq varies slightly), which emits a
loud gurgling sound. It's apparently caused by the video circuitry in
my laptop. It goes away when I close the lid and the video goes black.
If I raise the lid, the noise returns when the video returns. I don't
know if that's what you're getting, but the freqs are at least similar.
