[IRCA] Puyallup, WA TP's for 9-3... Best Yet for Asians

Hello All,
 
Listened from 1300-1330 this morning with modest equipment (modified  
ICF-2010 and 36" tuned passive loop by the bedside), and heard strong  carriers 
or audio on almost all the 9 kHz splits up to about  800 kHz.
 
JOAK-594 had a monster "9" signal at 1300, and the Japanese on 558 and 585  
also had weak audio around the same time. 603-HLSA had weak audio, as did 
the  Japanese on 666 and 693. 675 had threshold audio, presumed from Vietnam  
(due to bearing). 738 had audio from both the Taiwan Fisheries station 
(with a  ragged-sounding carrier) and Tahiti, with the latter peaking in 
strength  around 1318. DU's were checked at that time, and 639-Fiji had a strong 
carrier  but no audio (typical lately, even at Grayland). 648-Rhema was the 
strongest of  the Kiwis, with threshold audio around 1320. Other Kiwis were 
checked,  but only had anemic carriers (567-2YA is a lost cause here, with  
severe 570-KVI issues). Even 783 had a strong TP carrier this morning-- a  
frequency that I've never heard any Asians on (in Puyallup).
 
In general, I would have to agree with Walt that it was  a GREAT morning, 
especially for weak-signal TP's on the low band. I'll  be interested to know 
what John and Guy were hearing this morning.
