[IRCA] TP: Brief report: Normal

Just a quick check-in before heading to the hospital for a delivery. Listening between 12:45 and 13:00, conditions seemed normal with all the regular stations on the air with fair to good audio....1566, 1575, 1287. Now 828 had English sports play by play just before 13:00 o n the ALA 100, while it was the NHK2 on my W loop. Again most of the lower channels were in with audio or near audio. ...792, 801, 819, 774 with 2 stations,756, 747 (fairly weak today), 738 (good on the S loop), 702 (DU at a 7 to 8), 675 (a 6...?Vietnam?), 639 (a really strong carrier, but obviously poorly modulated....presumably Fiji. Audio just barely there, despite a big peak on the Perseus), 612 (Brisbane at 7 to 8), 603 (a 7...best on ALA), 594, 585, 576 (these 3 with weak audio), 567: strongest of the low band with EZL music at 13:10, 531: strong carrier and weak audio, again with EZL music at 13:10 on the S loop.

Overall, very normal for this time of the year with a little of everything. I suspect Grayland would be very good this morning. Wonder if Guy is still (ahem) DXing in Oregon? Now I really should be off to the hospital! ....Walt Salmaniw, Victoria, BC
