Re: [IRCA] longwires--elevated or not?
Generally speaking, one rule of thumb says that a BOG of 500' has the gain directivity and nearly the gain of a 1500' antenna run at 10-15'. that, combined with the ( usually ) easier job of deploying and removing a BOG, I would opt for that.
