[IRCA] TP for 26 Apr from Victoria, BC
Started around 1230UT this morning, and what low band Asiatic enhancement there was soon died, though not before a brief visit by the hummer on 1053. I don't believe JOAK-594 showed at all, nor JOBB-828, but I might have missed a brief peak. Strangely, there was something nearer 1300UT on 594, but it looped more westerly, yet the talk didn't sound like EE inflection. Has the Philippines been heard on this channel?
By 1300UT, there were (mostly weak) DUs, including the first X-banders this season for me.
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):
774 JOBB at 1230UT
reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise):
none except for the above fading down
not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:
594 low level talk at 1254UT, looped more DU, but didn't sound EE
1566 HLAZ
Burbles in the splatter and noise:
972 HLCA near 1230
1053 100Hz hum at 1234UT
1512 DU direction, 1248UT and later. 2RN?
1548 woman talking at 1304UT, DU, likely 4QD; big 1550 splatter makes this tough; 1548.0118 frequency also points to this.
1611 mx at 1302UT; no idea (and neglected to measure the frequency)
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
792 DU, 1287, 1422, 1575, 1701 hum; three carriers 1701.0055, 1701.0267, 1701.0405....the latter might be Brisvaani, not sure about the others.
best wishes,
Nick
