Re: [IRCA] WEBO again

The past few nights WEBO-1330 has been on top of the frequency, often at
perfectly listenable levels. Right now there's PRN Race Show with call-ins.
Perfectly listenable with only a bit of splatter from local WARL-1320. And
this is on a 2.7KHz normal AM filter tuned right to 1330. Nothing special
to help reception. Antenna is the balanced vertical a room away in my
house. Also listenable on the ferrite rod right next to the radio (and
computer!).

The owner is a friend of mine. I'll have to let him know...in a couple of days, after we've all logged it :-)

An interesting note about WEBO: its city of license, Owego, is about 25 miles west of Binghamton, and even with a staff of just two (owner/GM/sales and morning guy/news director), they kicked the pants off the bigger Binghamton stations with live, nonstop, on-the-scene coverage of the shootings last Friday.

Small town radio at its finest...
