[IRCA] TP for 25 Mar from Victoria, BC
Considerably better morning than others recently, though more in quantity rather
than strength of signals. On checks from 1255-1320UT, 1340UT and 1400UT, the
following were heard:
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):
594 JOAK at 1312
774 JOUB at 1311
828 JOBB
reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or
noise):
873 JOGB //828 at 1301UT
1053 the mystery 100Hz hum at 1317UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:
531 JOQG //594 at 1305, weak but very clear (no splatter)
567 JOIK // 594 at 1313UT
747 JOIB
972 HLCA underperforming its big carrier
1287 JOHR likely
Burbles in the splatter and noise:
279, presumably R. Rossii; big carrier....this has lost audio punch recently
558 HLQH woman talking//603 at 1343UT
603 HLSA as above
648 likely Russia
666 JOBK //594
756 no direction available, but better on north Flag, so Asian?
855 talk and hum; likely N. Korea
918 at 1306UT China?
936 China also?
945 maybe //5030, if so CNR-1
954 sounded like JJ inflected talk at 1345, so JOKR?
963 CRI??
1206 off channel w/IBOC; man talking, CRI?
1242 likely JOLF?
1269 unID
1566 HLAZ likely
1575 VoA likely
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 864,
1008, 1035, 1044, 1098DU, 1134, 1475 at 1312UT.
best wishes,
Nick
