Re: [IRCA] Tecsun question

Hey Gary:

I am a bit circumspect as well on the higher sensitivity number on the
1210, but based on how they quote the FM sensitivity (10 uV for the
more-sensitive R-912 versus 5 uV for the less-sensitive R-911), I decided
to take a chance. Normally the lower number is better, but Tecsun appears
to have its own scale?? On FM, the R-1212A, R-1210 and the R-912 have the
10 uV spec, and all others including the R-911 have 5 uV.

AM sensitivity for most models (909, 911, 912, 9012, and 1021) is quoted
as 1.0 uV, except for the then-top of the line 1212A and its successor
1210, which are quoted as 1.5 uV. I am hoping/presuming that they would
put the best stuff in the more expensive models, so we'll see!

PS - the XYL says that a radio I ordered, presumably one from DPMega on
March 16th, arrived this past Monday the 23rd, so 7 days to the West Coast
is pretty good! I am in Alaska right now, so I have to wait until the
weekend to get my mitts on it.
