Re: [IRCA] ABDX presents the 1480 WSAR DX test!
I will give it a shot over here on the West Coast. Back in the 90s,
before Idaho got night time operation, (Was 1 KW ND days) I think I may
have heard WSAR on some excellent Eastern cx. Back in the days of the
WWRL 1600 log. Gooding ID on 1480 is "famous" for running 5 KW ND often
AN. I can hear their 93 watts at night, but it barely tops the channel,
but when they run 5KW, I get S9+40!!! So I hope they drop to their 93
watts the night of the test. I will be trying with the R8 and beverage.
1480 being a nice high frequency, the 1500' Eastern beverage is aimed at
60-70 degress. The A&K is a nice 1/1 tonight. Hope it stays that way or
lower too!
