[IRCA] TP for 23 Feb from Victoria, BC

Not quite sure how to describe this morning. Didn't seem to be much sunrise enhancement; in fact the best conditions seemed to be just before 1400UT when I started to listen. By 1415 things were getting a bit dull, though with erratic fade ups. A recheck at 1455 showed things not much better, and by 1515UT, it was time to call it quits

pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):

JOBB 828

reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK
747 JOIB
774 JOUB
972 HLCA

not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:

873 a mixture of N. Korea //2850, and JOGB //828. It's been quite awhile since N. Korea has been heard on this channel; this at 1402UT.

Burbles in the splatter and noise:

567 JOIK //594
945 likely CNR-1 seemed //5030 at 1413
1206 likely CRI; KK inflected talk at 1415
1287 likely JOHR JJ inflected talk 1456
1566 likely HLAZ w/CC sounding talk at 1414
1575 likely VoA w/talk at 1408
1593 seemed //5030 at 1458, so CNR-1

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): nothing notable

best wishes,

Nick
