I agree, more stations in small towns might go bankrupt. The big city stations will probably always have buyers if anyone still listens to radio. It is so sad they will pay $10-30 million for a license, studio & transmitter, but won't pay for an announcer or program director. And if they took a poll, how many would say they'd be more likely to listen if their radio hissed at them as they tuned between stations? Why do they keep shooting themselves in the foot? Kevin,

That depends on how bad it gets. It costs so much to run a radio station
and even more for TV, and if ad revenue dries up, there will an increase
in silent stations to be sure. Unfortunately many may be in small
markets where people need the radio station more than in a city. That
might be the only station in town.
